Resumen
La educación sexual en adolescentes es fundamental para promover conductas saludables, prevenir riesgos y garantizar su bienestar integral. El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre los conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas sobre sexualidad en estudiantes de secundaria del Colegio Adventista de Villa El Salvador en Lima, Perú. El estudio se enmarca en un diseño no experimental, transversal, correlacional multivariado. Para recolectar los datos se aplicó una encuesta y un cuestionario a 286 participantes. Los resultados muestran que el 43% presenta bajo conocimiento sexual; el 47,2% reporta prácticas de alto riesgo y el 46,2% actitudes desfavorables. Existe una correlación negativa entre conocimientos y actitudes (Rho=-0,240) y positiva entre actitudes y prácticas (Rho=0,399), sin asociación significativa entre conocimientos y prácticas. Se evidencia disonancia entre valores institucionales y conductas, por lo que se requieren programas integrales que articulen información, actitudes y habilidades.
Abstract
Sex education in adolescents is fundamental to promoting healthy behaviors, preventing risks, and ensuring their overall well-being. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding sexuality among secondary school students at the Adventist School of Villa El Salvador in Lima, Peru. The study employed a non-experimental, cross-sectional, multivariate correlational design. Data was collected through a survey and a questionnaire administered to 286 participants. The results show that 43% demonstrated low levels of sexual knowledge; 47.2% reported high-risk practices; and 46.2% held unfavorable attitudes. A negative correlation was found between knowledge and attitudes (Rho = -0.240), and a positive correlation between attitudes and practices (Rho = 0.399), with no significant association between knowledge and practices. A dissonance between institutional values and behaviors was evident, highlighting the need for comprehensive programs that integrate information, attitudes, and skills.
